NEPA's Hottest Country Musician, Tony Merker picked up his first guitar at age
8. He taught himself how to play while listening to Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, John Denver, and Charlie Daniels, and Elvis.
At the ripe old age of 16 he decided it was time to try the fiddle. By this time Tony had already mastered the guitar
and with the help of his parents joined his first band and was out performing in clubs on weekends. Tony has performed
in many bands during his career including. Country Fever, The Blue Rose Band, Santa Fe, Midnight Rodeo, the Amigos, and Blacksmyth.
He has been the featured artist on Homegrown Music with George Grahman. The Weekender South featured an article in December
2005 "Fiddle Me This" , which describes Tony's awesome fiddle playing as "Fast and Furious". Tony also has studio
experience and has been featured on Bill Space's Rature CD. Tony is well known for his awesome deep vocals, and his
ability to provide varitey with a playlist of over 500 songs!
Tony Merker is considered "The Human Jukebox" with his deep sexy vocals and song list which
features over 500 tunes! Tony 's original CD ,"Soakin Up Some Country" was ranked number 14 on ARA radio in Europe, and is featured on many indie stations worldwide. During his career he has
opened for Charlie Daniels ,Julie Roberts and Aaron Lines.
